What should not move the price
- The 'destination photographer' premium. A photographer flown in from your home country charges you their flights, hotel and per-diem on top of their rate — routinely doubling the cost for someone who has seen the location twice. A local who shoots that harbour every week costs less, knows exactly which lane is in shade at six, and does not bill you for an airline ticket.
- The Santorini tax. Some pricing on famous islands is pure brand markup. The light on Naxos is the same light, twenty minutes away by ferry.
