What a Photoshoot in Greece Costs — and What Moves the Price (2026)

Photo Greece·

Ask what a photoshoot in Greece costs and you will find answers spanning an order of magnitude — from a modest session fee to quotes with four figures and a flight attached. Both ends are real; they are just answers to different questions. Here is how the pricing actually works, what moves it, and where couples routinely spend more without getting better photographs.

The short answer

On Photo Greece, sessions start from €279 all-inclusive. All-inclusive means what it says: the photographer's time on location, professional editing, and your gallery of finished photographs delivered online. The price you see when you book is the price you pay — there is no moment later in the process where a travel fee, an editing fee or a 'premium location' surcharge appears. That predictability is deliberate, and it is worth checking for anywhere you book: the single most common pricing complaint travellers report is not the headline number but the surcharges that surface after the deposit.

What genuinely moves the price

A handful of choices change what a session costs, everywhere and with every photographer. It is worth knowing which, because two of them are worth paying for and the rest usually are not.

  • Duration. The biggest lever. A focused hour covers one location and delivers the classic set. Two to three hours cover a second location and the unhurried in-between frames — worth it for elopements and once-in-years trips, unnecessary for a straightforward couples' session.
  • Moving between locations. A session that starts in Oia and ends on a beach involves logistics a single-spot session does not. One location, done at the right hour, beats two locations done at the wrong ones — spend on timing before you spend on quantity.
  • The occasion. Weddings are a different product, not a longer photoshoot: more hours, more preparation, second shooters, and a different editing workload. That is why wedding photography is quoted individually rather than off a menu.
  • Season and hour. Sunrise sessions, peak-season Saturdays, and the golden-hour slots on famous islands are simply in demand. Booking weeks ahead costs nothing; booking the week of, in August, on Santorini, narrows your options fast.

What clients say about this kind of shoot

It has been a year since our daughter got married. We cannot let this anniversary pass without reviewing our wonderful photographer, Christos Aggelidis. He also photographed our first daughter's wedding. We were so happy with his work then that we hired him again, and we are just as thrilled with the results this time. Christos and his team are true professionals. He listened closely to learn what we wanted. Then, he and his team used their great skills to capture photos and videos that truly reflect our family. We are so proud of these memories. He is a joy to work with and a master of his craft. We thank him deeply and recommend him to anyone. You will not be disappointed; you will be delighted.

There are some people who aren't simply professionals but become part of the most important moments of your life. Christos is one of those people for us. After our wedding years ago, there was no second thought about who would be beside us at our child's christening. And once again, everything was exactly as we felt it: true, beautiful and full of emotion. He has a unique way of making you feel at ease and at the same time capturing moments as they really are — without exaggeration, but with a great deal of love. For us he isn't just an excellent photographer. He is someone we trust, whom we hold in high regard and whom we are glad to have at our most important moments. Christos, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the memories we will keep for a lifetime. 😊😊

This was actually our second time working with Christos! After seeing his work at my sister's wedding, we knew we wanted him for ours as well. Once again, it was absolutely the right decision! Christos is extremely easy to communicate with, speaks English excellently, and throughout the day was professional, attentive, creative and incredibly hardworking. We had specific requests, and he delivered exactly what we were hoping for, often capturing moments we didn't even realise would be so meaningful. The final photos, the album and the wedding video were beautiful. Choosing Christos a second time for a second big family moment was an easy decision. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer who is truly passionate about his work and delivers with such care and attention. THANK YOU CHRISTOS!

Christos was simply outstanding! He covered both the wedding and the christening with absolute professionalism, discretion and creativity. From the very first moment he made us feel at ease, and that comes through clearly in the photographs. He managed to catch all the important moments, but also the spontaneous, emotion-filled details that make the difference. The result exceeded our expectations — natural, bright photographs, full of life. We recommend him without reservation to anyone who wants to keep the most beautiful moments of their life alive through the lens of a truly talented professional. 🔛🔝 Thank you very much — Stavros, Anastasia and little Lazaros

Christos was exceptional. Having Christos and his company capturing our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. He worked tirelessly to capture the spirit of the wedding. We made very specific requests but he was able to deliver exactly what we wanted, and sometimes we didn't even know what that was. He was professional, courteous, hardworking and it is clear that he loves what he does. He created an incredible wedding album and his team created a fantastic video. We would highly recommend him to you, you will not be disappointed. Alice & Craig from London. Married in Euboea

What should not move the price

  • The 'destination photographer' premium. A photographer flown in from your home country charges you their flights, hotel and per-diem on top of their rate — routinely doubling the cost for someone who has seen the location twice. A local who shoots that harbour every week costs less, knows exactly which lane is in shade at six, and does not bill you for an airline ticket.
  • The Santorini tax. Some pricing on famous islands is pure brand markup. The light on Naxos is the same light, twenty minutes away by ferry.
  • Basic deliverables sold as extras. Professionally edited photographs and an online gallery are the product, not an upsell. Treat any quote where editing costs extra as a red flag.

Comparing quotes like a local

When you put two quotes side by side, make them answer the same four questions, in writing: How much shooting time on location? How many edited photographs are included, and how are extras priced? When is delivery? And is everything — travel, editing, gallery — inside the number, or outside it? A cheap headline with paid editing, a photo-by-photo purchase model and a 12-week delivery regularly ends up the expensive option. This is also the honest argument for a platform over an Instagram DM: the terms are standard, the total is the total, and there is somewhere to turn if delivery slips.

Where the money is best spent

After thousands of sessions across Athens, the islands and the mainland, the pattern is consistent. Money spent on the right hour (sunrise or golden hour, not midday), the right photographer for your kind of session (a family specialist for toddlers, someone who shoots proposals weekly for a proposal), and enough time not to rush returns visibly better photographs. Money spent on famous-name locations at their most crowded hour, imported photographers, and third and fourth outfit changes mostly returns logistics.

A session in Greece costs less than most travellers guess and delivers more than most expect — the light here does a third of the work for free. Sessions from €279 all-inclusive, the price on the page is the price: browse the photographers, pick your island, and put the money you saved into one more dinner by the water.
