What moves the price on Naxos
A small roster. Five photographers list Naxos. The choice stays personal, but the dates everyone wants — summer sunsets, and anything at the Portara — go first.
Length, and the drive inland. An hour covers Chora properly: the Portara, the causeway and the Kastro lanes are a short walk apart. The mountain villages are another matter: the drive comes out of the session, so a village in the gallery means two hours or a half day.
The number of edited photos. On Naxos the typical hour, the 90-minute package and the typical two hours all deliver about 50 edited photos. Longer sessions buy places and time, not a bigger gallery, so compare photo counts before prices.
The occasion. Couples, families and proposals book by the hour. Weddings and elopements are priced as half or full days: a half day from €920, typically €945 for about 90 photos; a full day from €1,610, typically €2,980 for around 500.
Season and sunrise. A package costs the same in April as in August, and at sunrise as at sunset. What changes is the crowd: on summer evenings the Portara is the busiest spot on the island; at sunrise it is empty.

What is included in the price
- Edited, high-resolution photos in a private online gallery. Every package states how many and how soon; one to three weeks is typical.
- Payment held until delivery: the photographer is paid after your photos arrive, not before.
- Cancellation: a full refund seven or more days before the shoot, 50% between three and seven days, nothing inside three days. One free reschedule when you ask at least 48 hours ahead, and moving the shoot for bad weather is always free.

Where the shoot happens
- The Portara. The marble doorway of an unfinished temple of Apollo, on the islet of Palatia at the harbour mouth, a few minutes' walk along the causeway from where the ferries dock. Sunset at the gate is the island's icon and, in summer, its most crowded half-hour. At sunrise the causeway is empty and the marble takes the first warm light.
- The Kastro. The Venetian castle quarter above the harbour: stone archways, old mansions and stepped lanes that stay shaded through the morning.
- Halki. A village in the Tragea valley with neoclassical houses, painted shutters and olive groves around it. Late-afternoon light through the olive trees is soft and warm.
- Apeiranthos. The marble village on the mountainside: stone houses, marble-paved lanes, arches, and cooler air than the coast. Worth the drive inside a longer session.
- Agios Prokopios. A long sandy beach south of Chora with clear, shallow water, facing west: the sun sets over the sea, and mornings are calm and empty.
