More than the distances suggest. Makrinitsa to Tsagarada is roughly an hour and a half of tight, twisting mountain road, and the last stretch down to Damouchari or Milopotamos is steep and narrow. Plan one side of the mountain per session rather than both. Some beaches charge for parking or access in high season — check locally before you set out.

It depends on what kind of ceremony you want. A symbolic ceremony — exchanging vows with a celebrant or just each other — needs no permit at all and can happen on any beach, cliff or terrace; this is what most eloping couples choose, handling the legal paperwork at home before or after.
