Athens and mainland spots like Nafplio are more flexible; two to three weeks is usually enough outside of high season. If your dates are fixed (say, you're combining the shoot with a wedding scouting trip), book as soon as you know them — you can always fine-tune the time and locations later in the chat with your photographer. You receive high-resolution files with personal usage rights, perfect for printed cards, wedding websites, guest apps and social media announcements. Tell your photographer in advance that save-the-dates are the goal: they'll deliberately shoot some wider compositions with negative space for text, a mix of portrait and landscape orientations, and a few images that work at small print sizes. A Santorini blue-dome frame or the two of you dwarfed by Meteora's rock towers makes an announcement nobody forgets. Delivery is typically within days, so the cards can go out quickly.

Practically, they're the same product — same duration, same pricing from €299, same photographer pool. The difference is intent. An engagement session usually has deliverables in mind: save-the-dates, a wedding website, images that match the aesthetic of your upcoming wedding. Your photographer will plan for that — cleaner compositions, ring details, perhaps echoing the color palette of your wedding venue. A couples session is freer: it documents your trip and your relationship as they are, with more candid wandering. Professional photoshoots on Sifnos start from €310. Packages differ by duration and the number of edited photos — a one to two hour session, roughly €310 to €450, is enough to cover Kastro and the chapel below it, or to pair Apollonia's lanes with sunset at Chrysopigi. Longer bookings add a second village or a beach.

Kastro is the first choice: vaulted lanes, outside staircases and the chapel of the Seven Martyrs on its rock below the village. Chrysopigi's monastery and its little bridge come next, then the Steno lane through Apollonia and the mansions of Artemonas. Vathi's shallow bay with its pottery workshops closes the list. Your photographer will build a route that fits one drive.

Early morning and the last hour before sunset. Kastro and Chrysopigi both face east, so they glow at sunrise and stay almost empty before the swimmers arrive; Apollonia and Artemonas sit higher and open west, which makes them the evening choice. Midday sun flattens whitewash badly. May, June, September and early October give warm sea, soft light and a fraction of the August crowd.
