Most couples sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, enough time to visit 2-3 locations and capture a wide variety of natural, relaxed moments together. In Athens you might start at an Acropolis viewpoint, wander through Plaka's old streets and finish at Anafiotika's island-style houses; on Santorini your photographer will route you through Oia's quieter corners before the sunset crowds arrive. The golden rule is to coordinate without matching — complementary colors and classic styles that reflect your personality. Solid, muted tones (cream, navy, sage, terracotta) photograph beautifully against Greece's whitewashed walls, blue domes and honey-colored stone. Avoid busy patterns, large logos and neon colors. Comfortable shoes matter: Plaka's marble-smooth lanes and Santorini's caldera steps are slippery, and island paths can be uneven. Bring a second outfit for variety on longer sessions, and a light layer for breezy island evenings. Golden hour — shortly after sunrise or before sunset — gives the most flattering, warm, romantic light. In Greece, sunset ranges from around 5:30pm in winter to 8:45pm in summer, so plan accordingly. Sunset sessions on Santorini's caldera and at the Temple of Poseidon on the Athens Riviera are legendary, but they're also the busiest hours; sunrise shoots give you Oia's blue domes or the Acropolis viewpoints nearly to yourselves. Midday works too in shaded old-town lanes, but the strong Greek summer sun needs an experienced photographer. Professional photoshoots on Sifnos start from €310. Packages differ by duration and the number of edited photos — a one to two hour session, roughly €310 to €450, is enough to cover Kastro and the chapel below it, or to pair Apollonia's lanes with sunset at Chrysopigi. Longer bookings add a second village or a beach.

Kastro is the first choice: vaulted lanes, outside staircases and the chapel of the Seven Martyrs on its rock below the village. Chrysopigi's monastery and its little bridge come next, then the Steno lane through Apollonia and the mansions of Artemonas. Vathi's shallow bay with its pottery workshops closes the list. Your photographer will build a route that fits one drive.

Early morning and the last hour before sunset. Kastro and Chrysopigi both face east, so they glow at sunrise and stay almost empty before the swimmers arrive; Apollonia and Artemonas sit higher and open west, which makes them the evening choice. Midday sun flattens whitewash badly. May, June, September and early October give warm sea, soft light and a fraction of the August crowd.
