Most couples sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, enough time to visit 2-3 locations and capture a wide variety of natural, relaxed moments together. In Athens you might start at an Acropolis viewpoint, wander through Plaka's old streets and finish at Anafiotika's island-style houses; on Santorini your photographer will route you through Oia's quieter corners before the sunset crowds arrive. The golden rule is to coordinate without matching — complementary colors and classic styles that reflect your personality. Solid, muted tones (cream, navy, sage, terracotta) photograph beautifully against Greece's whitewashed walls, blue domes and honey-colored stone. Avoid busy patterns, large logos and neon colors. Comfortable shoes matter: Plaka's marble-smooth lanes and Santorini's caldera steps are slippery, and island paths can be uneven. Bring a second outfit for variety on longer sessions, and a light layer for breezy island evenings. Golden hour — shortly after sunrise or before sunset — gives the most flattering, warm, romantic light. In Greece, sunset ranges from around 5:30pm in winter to 8:45pm in summer, so plan accordingly. Sunset sessions on Santorini's caldera and at the Temple of Poseidon on the Athens Riviera are legendary, but they're also the busiest hours; sunrise shoots give you Oia's blue domes or the Acropolis viewpoints nearly to yourselves. Midday works too in shaded old-town lanes, but the strong Greek summer sun needs an experienced photographer. Professional photoshoots here start from €310. Packages differ by duration and the number of edited photos — one to two hours, roughly €310 to €450, covers Kalamata's old town and seafront, or Voidokilia and the ridge above it. Because the two ends of Messinia are an hour apart by car, a session that mixes them needs a longer booking.

Voidokilia's horseshoe of sand, seen from the path up to Old Navarino castle, is the frame most people book for. Pylos gives an arcaded square of plane trees above a working harbour, with the Neokastro fortress on the headland. In Kalamata itself, the lanes around the Ypapanti cathedral and the castle hill work best, and Polylimnio's waterfalls run in spring.

Voidokilia opens west, so the sand and the lagoon behind it hold colour right through sunset; the climb to the castle is better done in the cool of early morning. Kalamata's old town takes late afternoon, when the stone warms and the Taygetos ridge behind it goes blue. April to June and September to October are ideal; July and August are hot and busy.
