About Love Bay
Get directionsLove Bay is a small cove on the west side of the island, past the Neorio beaches: shallow, sheltered, with pines standing right at the water's edge so the shade reaches the sand. It is a couple of hundred metres of beach, not a resort strip, and the trees make it a different picture from every other Saronic bay.
What it offers a session is contrast: dark pine trunks and needles against pale sand and turquoise shallow water, plus real shade at the hours when open beaches are useless. Shoot into the trees for depth, or out across the water where the bay opens to the Peloponnese.
It is about ten minutes by scooter or taxi from Poros town, and there is a small road and a canteen but not much else. In July and August it fills up by mid-morning, so come early or late; out of high season it is often empty. The pine roots and needles make the ground uneven — flat shoes to walk in, bare feet on the sand.
