Professional photoshoots on Spetses start from €279. Packages vary by duration and the number of edited photos — one to two hours, roughly €279 to €450, is enough to walk from the Dapia waterfront past the Poseidonion and along to the Old Harbour. Agioi Anargyroi is on the far side of the island, so add the water-taxi or road time to the booking.

The Old Harbour at Baltiza, with wooden hulls on stocks in the open boatyards and masts against tiled roofs; the belle-époque facade and gardens of the Poseidonion; the pebble-mosaic quay and cannons at Dapia; the back lanes where the horse carriages wait; and Agioi Anargyroi, the pine-backed beach on the south-west coast.

The Old Harbour works late: it faces roughly north, holds soft light all afternoon and glows once the tavernas switch on. Dapia and the Poseidonion take clean morning sun before the first hydrofoil unloads. Weekends from June to September bring an Athens crowd; May, early June and September are the quiet months with warm sea and no queue for a carriage.

You mostly walk. Private cars are heavily restricted on the island, so the town runs on foot, bicycle, scooter and horse carriage, and Dapia to the Old Harbour is about twenty minutes along the sea. A carriage between the two makes a shoot of its own — agree the fare first. For Agioi Anargyroi take a water taxi from Dapia or the small bus, and check the last return time before you book a sunset slot.

For peak-season dates — May through October, and especially Saturdays on Santorini or Mykonos — book 6-12 months ahead. The best-reviewed photographers are often the first vendors to sell out after the venue itself. Shoulder-season and weekday weddings are far more flexible; three to four months is usually comfortable. If your date is closer than that, don't assume it's hopeless: availability shifts, and Photo Greece can check the whole vetted roster for your date at once instead of you emailing photographers one by one. When comparing, look at full wedding galleries rather than portfolio highlights — how a photographer handles a dim taverna dinner tells you more than their best ten frames.

Work backwards from the moments you can't lose. An intimate ceremony with dinner fits in 4-5 hours: preparations, vows, couple portraits at golden hour, first toasts. A classic full wedding day — getting ready through the first dances — runs 8-10 hours. Greek weddings tend to run long and warm up late; if your party will peak at midnight with plate-worthy dancing, budget coverage for it or arrange a set finishing time you're at peace with. One Greece-specific tip: schedule couple portraits around sunset, not the ceremony's end — in summer that golden window is what your photographer will plan the whole timeline around. Discuss your running order with your photographer and they'll recommend honest hours, not maximum hours.
