Professional photoshoots on Paxos start from €279. Packages differ by duration and the number of edited photos — one to two hours, roughly €279 to €450, covers Gaios and the channel in front of the Panagia islet, or Loggos harbour and an olive terrace above it. A boat session over to Antipaxos is quoted separately, because the boat is an extra cost.

Gaios waterfront, with the wooded Panagia islet across the channel, is the classic opening. Loggos gives a harbour the size of a courtyard and stone quays. The Erimitis cliffs on the west coast take the sunset head-on. On Antipaxos, Vrika and Voutoumi supply the turquoise water people come for, and the terraced olive groves work all day in dappled light.

Gaios and Loggos face roughly east, so they are calm and warm at sunrise and shaded by late afternoon; Erimitis is the sunset side. Antipaxos beaches look best between nine and eleven, before the day boats arrive and while the water still reads clear. May, June, September and early October give warm sea without the August crowd, and most tavernas close by November.

Only by boat. Day caïques leave Gaios and Loggos through the morning and return mid-afternoon, and water taxis run on demand for a fixed fare; a small hired boat buys you the beaches before the crowd lands. Vrika and Voutoumi have no road access and almost no shade at midday. Check the last return time before you plan anything near sunset.

It depends on what kind of ceremony you want. A symbolic ceremony — exchanging vows with a celebrant or just each other — needs no permit at all and can happen on any beach, cliff or terrace; this is what most eloping couples choose, handling the legal paperwork at home before or after. A legally binding civil wedding in Greece is absolutely possible for foreigners but involves documents, translations and the local town hall, so allow several weeks and consider a local wedding planner — your photographer can recommend ones they work with. Note that archaeological sites like the Acropolis have strict photography rules, so ceremonies happen near, not inside them. It scales with your day. The minimal version is a 60-90 minute session covering the vows and a portrait walk — from €300, ideal if you're keeping things spontaneous. Half-day coverage (3-4 hours) adds getting ready, the journey to the spot, and a relaxed golden-hour portrait session after the ceremony. Full-day coverage follows the whole story from morning coffee to a candlelit dinner table.
