Professional photoshoots in Meteora start from €310. Packages vary by duration and the number of edited photos — from a sunset session at the viewpoints to a longer route between the rocks, Kastraki and Kalambaka.

The sunset viewpoints along the monastery road, where Roussanou and Varlaam perch on their pillars, the panoramic rock platforms above the whole valley, Kastraki village huddled under the Adrachti spire, and the view down over Kalambaka's rooftops with the plain of Thessaly stretching beyond.

Sunrise and sunset, and each gives something different: at dawn, especially in autumn, mist often pools in the valley and the monasteries float above it; at dusk the west-facing viewpoints light the pillars gold. Midday flattens the rock, so sessions cluster at the edges of the day. Winter adds snow on the pinnacles.

Sessions move by car between viewpoints along the monastery road, with short walks on rocky ground — bring comfortable shoes. If you plan to enter a monastery on the way, dress modestly: shoulders covered, long skirts for women, and each monastery keeps its own closing day. Kalambaka has direct trains, so Meteora also works as a shoot on a longer Athens or Thessaloniki itinerary.
