Most couples sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, enough time to visit 2-3 locations and capture a wide variety of natural, relaxed moments together. In Athens you might start at an Acropolis viewpoint, wander through Plaka's old streets and finish at Anafiotika's island-style houses; on Santorini your photographer will route you through Oia's quieter corners before the sunset crowds arrive. The golden rule is to coordinate without matching — complementary colors and classic styles that reflect your personality. Solid, muted tones (cream, navy, sage, terracotta) photograph beautifully against Greece's whitewashed walls, blue domes and honey-colored stone. Avoid busy patterns, large logos and neon colors. Comfortable shoes matter: Plaka's marble-smooth lanes and Santorini's caldera steps are slippery, and island paths can be uneven. Bring a second outfit for variety on longer sessions, and a light layer for breezy island evenings. Golden hour — shortly after sunrise or before sunset — gives the most flattering, warm, romantic light. In Greece, sunset ranges from around 5:30pm in winter to 8:45pm in summer, so plan accordingly. Sunset sessions on Santorini's caldera and at the Temple of Poseidon on the Athens Riviera are legendary, but they're also the busiest hours; sunrise shoots give you Oia's blue domes or the Acropolis viewpoints nearly to yourselves. Midday works too in shaded old-town lanes, but the strong Greek summer sun needs an experienced photographer. Photoshoots in Delphi start from €310. That covers a short session for a couple or a small family; one- and two-hour packages run to roughly €450 and differ by duration and the number of edited photos. A longer booking usually earns its money here, because the sanctuary and the stone village of Arachova are ten minutes apart and most people want both.

The terrace of the Temple of Apollo, with its six standing columns and the olive valley dropping away to Itea; the theatre just above it, which puts the whole sanctuary in the frame; and the Tholos at Athena Pronaia, the round building with three re-erected columns and a fraction of the crowd. Add the stone lanes and mountain terraces of Arachova for the second half.

The first hour after the site opens, or the last hour before it closes. The sanctuary faces south-west, so morning light rakes across the terraces and late light warms the limestone before the mountain shadow arrives. April, May, June, September and October are the good months; July and August are hot and busy by mid-morning, and winter can put snow on Parnassus.
