Professional photoshoots in Milos start from €279. Packages vary by duration and the number of edited photos — from a short session on the white rock at Sarakiniko to a longer route taking in Klima's painted boathouses and sunset up in Plaka.

Sarakiniko's wind-carved white volcanic rock above ink-blue water, the syrmata of Klima — boat garages with doors painted red, yellow and turquoise — the stepped lanes of Plaka up to the castle rock and the little church of Panagia Thalassitra, the quieter fishing coves of Firopotamos and Mandrakia, and Kleftiko's white stacks and sea caves, which can only be reached by boat.

Sarakiniko wants first light or the last hour — at midday the white rock throws so much glare that skin tones go flat and there is no shade anywhere on it. Klima is the opposite: the boathouse doors face west, so the colour only comes alive after five. Plaka takes the sunset. May, June, September and early October are the comfortable months; July and August bring heat and the meltemi wind, which is what usually cancels the boat spots.

Only for Kleftiko. Sarakiniko, Klima, Plaka, Firopotamos and Mandrakia are all reached by road, and a rental car covers them in a single session — the island is small and the drives are ten to twenty minutes. Kleftiko has no road at all: it is a three-to-four-hour boat trip out of Adamas, shared or private, and the first thing the meltemi cancels, so it belongs in a longer stay rather than a one-shot afternoon.

It depends on the photographer, and their Photo Greece profile states it explicitly — read the package description before booking. Photographers with their own studios include the space in the session price; those who rent third-party studios either build the cost in or list it as a separate line so you can choose the space tier. When comparing prices, compare the whole package: a session that looks €50 cheaper but adds studio rental on top isn't cheaper. If a quote is ambiguous, ask directly in the booking chat — 'is the studio included, and which studio is it?' — and you'll get a concrete answer with photos of the space. The practical limit is time, not a rule: in a 60-minute studio session, two to three outfits is the sweet spot — each change costs five minutes plus a lighting adjustment, and more changes than that eat into actual shooting. For headshot sessions, bring three tops in different tones against the planned backdrop and change only from the waist up in seconds. Portfolio and branding sessions that genuinely need four or more looks should book 90 minutes or two hours; your photographer will say so honestly when you describe the goal. Studio tip: bring everything pressed and on hangers, arrive in the simplest look, and start with it — the first fifteen minutes are warm-up frames anyway, and your strongest outfit deserves your warmed-up confidence.
